Stevenage Town Deal
Transforming Stevenage – have your say on how up to £50m of government funding is allocated in our town.
The Government is investing up to £50m in 100 towns across the country and we want local people to decide how this money is spent.

About the campaign
People across England are being asked to help write the next chapter for their town.
The MyTown campaign gives people a say in how a new generation of Town Deals, each worth up to £50m, should transform the place they call home. It also provides a platform for communities to share their proud history and ambitions for a bright future. Communities, businesses and local leaders are being asked to draw up ambitious plans to transform their town’s economic growth prospects with a focus on improved transport, broadband connectivity, skills and culture.
We want to hear your views on how government funding should be spent in Stevenage. Whether that’s new cycle paths, extra business and conference facilities, an improved sporting offer and more – we want to hear from you.
On 3 March 2021 we were successfully awarded £37.5m through the Towns Fund. Your ideas have directly fed into our proposals and in the coming months we will be asking you for more ideas. You can find out more about the funding award here

A message from our Chairman
“I am delighted to be appointed as the Chair of the Stevenage Development Board, and to a role which will play a key part in driving forward the development and regeneration of Stevenage.
I am deeply passionate about Stevenage having been born in the Town, and I see this as a really exciting opportunity to help guide the future direction of our Town.
One of my key aims for the Board is to ensure that we engage with the public and the business community to ensure that this is a regeneration delivered for and by the people of this Town. We already have a strong set of local and national partners, but I am keen to hear from anybody that wants to discuss potential opportunities in the Town.
Together, we can deliver on our vision to transform Stevenage for the better.”
